Annotation:
In the article, you can read about a child, Devin Connors, who was abused and wanted to face her abuser in court but was afraid to. She had a therapy dog come with her, and it helped her face him. The article also talks about therapy dogs and how they give comfort to people. Argos, the therapy dog, is a good therapy dog since he walks on a leash without pulling, interacts well with strangers, and keeps calm at unpredictable situations. Potential Quotes:“...children ages 4 to 8 have been helped by therapy dogs” To be paired to a dog, you have to like dogs “...can’t be allergic and need guardian’s permission...” Assessment: I believe this source it credible because it talks about how the dog helped the 11 year old girl in court when facing her abuser. She didn’t think she was ready to face him, but the dog gave her a lot of confidence. It also talks about therapy dogs and how they help children. Reflection: I will use this as an example on how therapy dogs help people and what they do. |
